Whitstable Physiotherapy Clinic was established in 2000, providing the local community with professional, approachable, highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapists who have the expertise to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, affecting the muscles, joints and soft tissues, including spinal pain and sports injuries, also post-operative rehabilitation (such as after hip and knee replacements) and neurological rehabilitation.
Physiotherapists aim to restore function and normal movement, alleviate pain, improve strength and physical well-being. We use a wide range of treatments, including manual therapy, massage, electrotherapy, exercise, acupuncture, education and advice. We treat the source, not just the symptoms. We believe in listening to our patients and by understanding their symptoms, we can treat the cause and tackle the problem at its source. We are motivated by helping people to achieve and maintain their individual health and lifestyle goals.
All our physiotherapists have undertaken a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, enabling us to assess your problem and make a diagnosis based on what you tell us and what we find on examination. We are registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) http://www.csp.org.uk, Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) http://www.hpc-uk.org and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) http://www.aacp.org.uk. In order to offer a high standard of care and maintain our reputation for clinical excellence, we all attend ongoing learning and continuing professional development through external courses, in-service training and peer mentoring.
